Built in the 1920s in the heart of Western Macedonia, the Vevi Villas began as two family homes created by Zafe and Mitra Petsinis to house their growing family. For decades, the twin houses were filled with life, generations raised within their walls, until migration carried the family to Australia and Canada, leaving the homes silent.

From the mid-1960s until 2019, the houses stood abandoned, slowly falling into ruin. When George Petsinis returned to Vevi, the buildings were on the verge of collapse, seemingly beyond saving. What followed was a difficult decision—and a promise fulfilled. Inspired by his late father’s wish, George committed to restoring the family home.

In 2023, with the vision of architect Konstantinos Gogos and the careful work of local artisans, the villas were brought back to life. Hidden murals, original timber, and forgotten details were uncovered and restored, blending heritage with modern comfort.

Today, the Vevi Villas stand once again overlooking the village and the Florina valley toward Mount Vitsi, no longer as abandoned houses, but as living symbols of family, resilience and continuity.
